Artist's Comments

Young balerinas before their first big performance behind the stage. Very little light and a LOT of motion. Everyone running around and yelling.
I thought this displays the mood of the whole place. Does it?

Excellent image - I love the way you've captured the static figure amongst the hustle and bustle of the preparations, and the off camber angle adds a bit of interest.

Hmm... I've no idea if it captures the mood of the place (I wasn't there ;-) (Wink) ), but it's certainly an excellent image. As such, I'd have to guess at "yes".

wow this is a great shot. the focus of the little girl and then the rest of the "world" is blurred is cool. could almost say that in this busy world, the girl's innocence and naivety make the world clear and simple. great colors and the angle adds to the chaos. keep up the fantastic work.

this is a most realistic photograph in the sense, that you caught the motion,

the blur of the moment,

yet the young girl is dead spot focused,

an almost penetrating look of fear, determination, dreams, anxiety and anticipation.

the colours are most beautiful....

lovely work dear girl.

Colour. Colour dammit! :D (Big Grin)
The only weird part for me is the girl who's perfectly sharp and in focus. Because the overall atmosphere is chaos and unorganizedness (which was done well), but she is the only one who looks calm and still. She kind of breaks up the pattern (well not a pattern, but you know what I mean). The tilting is also cool, making it look like the photo was taken in a rush, adding to the chaotic feel of the photo.

love the dragged shutter. with the little girl looking at you ... it works so well.

very very good use of depth!

VERY WELL DONE!

Love it.

My favorite photo of yours so far, I love the action and the girl in the red; the colors are very vibrant. It's shots like these that I want to be able to catch when I take my camera to my school's musical. :D (Big Grin)
